Feel better the natural way!
All healthcare providers have office procedures designed to keep patients safe as the coronavirus (which causes COVID-19) continues to circulate worldwide with new, more transmissible, variants of the virus. Flu season is also upon us here in Minnesota.
I ask all patients to:
1) Stay home if you have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms:
I ask all patients to stay home and immediately consult your medical doctor if you think you have been exposed or are having symptoms of COVID-19. These include, but are not limited to: fever, cough, shortness of breath, and loss of taste and/or smell. If you are unsure of your status, you must call before coming in so I can provide appropriate guidance. You should also stay home if you have the flu.
2) Please arrive on time for your appointment:
If you have not been exposed and are not having symptoms, please arrive on time. This will allow you to come and go without encountering other patients for any significant length of time. Safe social distancing is still important in healthcare settings!
3) Please wear a cloth face covering/mask:
Many of my patients are dealing with cancer or have other health conditions that weaken their immune system. I am therefore asking ALL of my patients, regardless of vaccination status and previous infection, to cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when coming into and leaving the building and my clinic. We can discuss whether or not you should wear it while I treat you after you've arrived.
I am fully vaccinated, and will continue to wear a mask when treating patients for the foreseeable future. I am also cleaning the treatment rooms after each patient leaves (this, of course, is standard practice).
A healthy diet, appropriate exercise, adequate sleep, and acupuncture can help you keep your immune system functioning at its best to avoid becoming sick. I can make specific diet and supplement suggestions to meet your particular needs. I have also had success treating patients for the symptoms of long COVID with acupuncture alone or in combination with Chinese herbs. Please call if you have questions or concerns. I am here to help!
